GASP now walkable (and rideable)

The GASP Boardwalk in Glenorchy

The new GASP walkway between the Montrose Cycleway and the Derwent Entertainment Centre is worth a ride on. A simple piece of engineering that allows mere mortals to walk on water. Just shows what is possible when councils put in for federal funding for projects that encourage active transport. Next Battery Point please! Rumour has it that it will not allow bikes, seems like a bit of a silly rule but the Montrose Cycleway will also connect to the DEC as well so theres a good alternative.
