Bike Week runs from the 9th to 17th March with a variety of events, so dust off your bike and put some dates in your calendar.
Bicycle Tasmania is running the Tour de Femme on Sunday 10th, Rivulet Heritage ride on Wednesday 13th, and Century, Half Century and Clarence Family ride on Sunday 17. Register online – www.biketas.org.au
In the north, there’s the Ben Lomond MTB Festival starting on Saturday 9th, and TBUG Treasure Hunt on Sunday 10. St Lukes Ride to Glover is on Monday 11. The Rotary Tour de Norfolk Plains is on Sunday 17, and there’s more during the week.

Sorry but I may be old and cranky but that photo is abysmal for promoting State Bike Week, there’s far too much lycra and dropped handle bar bikes. Those I believe reinforce the sporty nature of and specialist clothing required to simply ride a bike. How about some city bikes with baskets and ordinary clothes.
I’m a bloke, and I don’t like Lycra either.
