Bicycle Tasmania is a statewide independent bicycle advocacy organisation which aims to encourage more people to cycle more often, through organising rides and representing our members at all levels of government.
Membership not only supports cycle advocacy in the State, it also provides discounted entry to event rides, access to third party insurance and legal advice, regular issues of Ride On magazine, email updates on cycling issues in Tasmania and a chance to give back to cycling in Tasmania.
Bicycle Tasmania runs regular rides that cater for a wide range of cyclists. Monthly social rides are free for Bicycle Tasmania members. Please check out our website for plenty of local and national information on bike riding. Our Regular Rides calendar keeps members up to date with opportunities to join group rides.
Bicycle Tasmania’s new Facilities Development Manager works to encourage allocation of public resources to high-return projects, as well as education and consultation with decision makers. Membership fees fund this position, which has raised bicycle advocacy to a new level in Tasmania.
